'Twas a frenzy of ideating!
what is most important to you?
I had a lot of different ideas in the beginning, and in a desperate attempt to organize myself I created a mind map. Something seemed to click. I started seeing key patterns and interests that connected the themes of my ideas in an interesting way. It was eye opening to see things laid out like this, and I'm exciting to discover more about myself and what's important to me as an artist as this film gets created!

audio is the key
I've been really inspired by shows like midnight gospel, where the dialogue feels very raw and uncut. I also am very inspired by music, and like visualizing to it. I want a conversation with my partner to be the base audio of my film, with music composed by my brother.
the story I've narrowed it down to a story of two lovers, having a conversation about the space between, where does one being end and another begin? What separates the past from the present or future? What separates you from me?
elevator pitch
The pitch being only two minutes made me realize just how short that time is... and my film's only got a minute thirty!
Some mood boards from my pitch, the first panel being my own original artwork from the past. I definitely want to explore themes of color, and a visual progression from refined to organic line art. I'll explore more imagery once the conversation has been recorded, giving me a guide to work off of.
