the vision!!! it's aliiiive!!! aliiiiiiiiiiiiive!
render shot!
here she is folks, I'm very happy with the level of finish here, and hope to keep that look up for the rest of my film! I think I was able to find a good way to blend the traditional and digital words :)
W(III)P !
progress check number 3, y'all! I've timed out everything, animated some more shots, and have sent this picturelocked version to my composer, along with notes that contain all the emotional beats I want to hit and when.
also huge moves: I cut a shot. After my check in with Vee I realized that it was redundant, and now I have more time to focus on polishing a lot of my other shots more. It was a hard decision and I had to mull it over for a bit, but in reality, I can ideate an infinite amount of shots and refine them for days,,, so someone's gotta put a stop to thinkin about the 'what ifs?' and just get this project a movin'! (that someone is me)
behind the scenes
I've been really enjoying my time in the light table/downshooter lab. It's a nice change of pace from sitting in front of a screen for hours, and I think it keeps my workflow exciting!
a video of some textures I created below! I used them as vignettes and textures that exist within moving objects like the clothes of the figure reaching out. (it's kinda like how they do the textures for the clothes on chowder lol)
schedule + shot list update
After having my check in with Vee, I've been really thinking about the hours I have left to work. My goal is to try and bump up my hours per week to 20 (this week I actually worked 25... woah). I feel pretty confident that I can proudly finish this thing if I stay on track! (I'll be recruiting a colorist as well, so that'll help a bunch!)
