"The Hundred Windows" | An Immersive Concert | Animation Assistant

As an Animation Assistant, I worked under multidisciplinary animator and assistant professor at RIT, Christine A. Banna, to aid her in the development and creation of animated assets. These assets were projected and live mixed at the multisensory choral performance "The Hundred Windows" by the Mt. Hope World Singers in Rochester, NY.

Utilizing both traditional paint/collage and digital video manipulation via analog electronics, I aided in the creation of over 200 animations. I assisted Banna in live mixing and choosing how we would overlay assets atop each other digitally, but some decision making was left up to improvisation, making each performance unique.

This project gave me the opportunity to explore the art and music community in the greater Rochester area, and I got to witness live how what we as artists create can have a lasting impact on our audiences.
